Piotr Stryszowski is Head of Unit at the OECD Trade and Agriculture Directorate, where he leads the Working Party on Countering Illicit Trade. In this role, he oversees research on the magnitude, scope, and economic impact of illicit trade, as well as the development of voluntary standards and policy guidelines to address it.
His work focuses on strengthening evidence and policy responses in areas including counterfeit goods, transparency in FTZs, trade fraud, abuse of fast parcel delivery, containerized maritime transport, and online marketplaces. He works closely with delegates from OECD member countries, industry representatives, academics, and international organizations to advance practical and evidence-based solutions.
With 20 years at the OECD, Piotr has also developed extensive expertise in innovation, intellectual property rights, and the Internet economy.
Piotr holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Tilburg University in the Netherlands.
