ihai Şomordolea (born 1966) is a graduate of the Higher Military Studies Academy in Bucharest.
He has a bachelor degree in juridical sciences from the University “Lucian Blaga” in Sibiu and a PhD “cum laude” in military sciences.
Between 2008 and 2015 he was chief of the Supreme Council of National Defence Secretariat and on 9 March this year he was appointed Secretary of the Supreme Council of National Defence.
