Executive leader with over 23 years of hands-on experience in Data & AI. I have built and scaled enterprise-wide AI strategies, platforms, and responsible adoption frameworks across senior leadership, startup, advisory, research, government, academic, investment, and board roles.
As the inaugural Chief Data Officer and later Special Advisor (Artificial Intelligence) at the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), I pioneered the regulator’s adoption of data science and AI. I led the development of Singapore’s national financial sector AI strategy, championed open cross-border data flows, and created the world’s first FEAT (Fairness, Ethics, Accountability, and Transparency) principles for responsible AI in finance. I also founded the MAS-backed Veritas consortium to drive ethical AI practices across the industry.
With a PhD in Machine Learning and deep cross-sector experience bridging industry, academia, and regulation, I specialize in translating advanced technology into transformative business value while positioning responsible governance as a strategic advantage.
