21St Parliamentary Intelligence-Security Forum – Remarks

Hon. Robert Pittenger, President of the Parliamentary Intelligence-Security Forum, expressed his gratitude to participants for their valuable contributions and presentations, both in person and online. He emphasized that the forum’s mission is to establish and support a global network of parliamentarians collaborating to address transnational challenges such as organized crime and cybersecurity.

Pittenger outlined several forthcoming initiatives aimed at sustaining this international dialogue. The next forum is scheduled for Bucharest, Romania, where parliamentary leaders are anticipated to demonstrate robust support for the initiative. Discussions are also underway to organize future forums in Israel, South Korea, Madrid, and potentially Cairo, reflecting the forum’s expanding global engagement.

He further highlighted the contributions of Bill Cassidy, acknowledging his active involvement in efforts to combat trade-based money laundering. Pittenger concluded by introducing a video message from Senator Cassidy, reaffirming the forum’s commitment to addressing financial crime and fostering international cooperation.
